A Delightful Call

A Delightful Call
Calling has been a major theme in my life. For as long as I can remember, all I’ve ever wanted to be was a librarian! Not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’, but I can’t imagine being anything else.
Once I gave my life to Christ, I wanted to be a librarian for His cause. I had to put myself in the right place – volunteering at my church’s Bible College library on the weekends was a step in the right direction. A few years later, it turned into a full time position, one I’ve held onto for over 15 years now. Even today, I can’t think of anything else I’d rather be doing than being a librarian for Jesus!
When you are fully immersed into your calling, it gives a great sense of satisfaction - Monday mornings aren’t so bad, you are keen to get there and keep going. I love my job, and I love it even more because I believe I’m playing a small, but not insignificant, part in the shaping of our students’ lives to become the best pastors, missionaries, counsellors, teachers, … people they can be for Jesus!
